Chapman Entertainment is a TV Production & Licensing company who create popular children’s TV shows such as Roary the Racing Car, Fifi and the Flowertots and Little Charley Bear. The Company was founded by Creative Director Keith Chapman, the originator of global smash hit ‘Bob the Builder’.
Chapman wanted to raise £10m of funding to product two new TV shows. They were working with Close Brothers Group to identify and meet with potential investors.
A creative children’s TV production company is a somewhat different proposition for the typical Investor and requires education of the production processes and the bigger opportunity of licensing and merchandising.
Close Brothers had produced a presentation for investors that was professional yet uninspiring given the nature of Chapman’s business.
We recommended a high impact, engaging 3D animated presentation which would fully showcase Chapman and capture the imagination of a potential investor.
We designed the presentation within the context of an Artists drawing board. As the presentation progressed we included video content from Chapman’s top shows and animations of the characters to illustrate the production process from commissioning an idea to producing a finished series. We animated key scenes around merchandising and licensing shows and what the financial gains are from this activity for the prospective investors.
Chapman successfully secured the full £10m funding, delivering two new shows which are now on BBC’s CBeebies channel.
