The Christmas period can often be a stressful time which is why we love the Headspace app to restore some much needed calm throughout December.

Headspace is a simple to use meditation app that allows you to practice mindfulness techniques to help you feel happier and healthier. The free app allows you to find some extra calm and clarity with a 10 minute meditation session that you can listen to on your mobile and tablet device.

While there are subscriptions available that offer additional sessions and meditation courses, the free version still provides a great way to relax over the festive period.

Headspace is available to download on iOS and Android devices.

Christmas is the season of good will and so to spread some more festive cheer download the StreetLink app, which provides a way for the public to inform local authorities of those sleeping rough to help get them off the streets. In the past year there have been almost 11,000 alerts to local services, and StreetLink has helped 4,000 rough sleepers. Download the app on iTunes or Google Play.

Christmas Music

There’s nothing better than a good Christmas song to get you into the festive spirit, which is why we love the Christmas Music app. Creating a soundtrack to your holidays, the app has a range of Christmas carols and traditional festive tunes.

The app is available for free on iOS.

Another fun app for this time of year is the Should I Stay app.

The festivities of the Christmas period mean that there are plenty of opportunities to go out with friends or for a few drinks after work. Developed by Plus Two, the app helps you to decide if you should stay for one more drink, or if it’r time to go home.

You can download the app on iTunes or Google Play.

Take the stress out of cooking your Christmas dinner with the Time to Roast app that allows you to calculate the cooking time with easy to follow instructions.

Simply enter the weight of the meat, how you’d like it cooked and you can then set alarms for all phases of cooking and take the stress out of cooking a large roast with all the trimmings!
