ReD, the expert provider of fraud prevention and payment services worldwide, approached our London based digital agency to request a new website. ReD develops and deploys predictive neural analytics to help their customers fight the battle against card and payments fraud, and mitigate fraud risk, independently of any card association or processor.

ReD required a whole new website design and build with a very tight turnaround time. There’s nothing we like more than a good challenge, so we set about sharing ideas for the new website design, creating a new look and feel, drawing up wireframes and sitemaps immediately.

The idea for the website was that it had to be easy to edit and change so the content could evolve effortlessly. This was a no-brainer; it had to be a CMS. After looking into the various CMSs on the market it became clear that the best tool for the job was WordPress.

WordPress is a free and open source CMS written in PHP and is currently the most popular CMS on the internet. In August 2011 WordPress hit a milestone of managing 22% of all new websites, as well as being used by the top 1 million websites. One of the reasons we love WordPress is that it makes it so much easier for clients to maintain and edit their websites moving forwards.

We designed a WordPress theme for ReD which uses a fluid grid. The grid system dynamically resizes the content to fit different screen sizes. Routinely we check our code against all of the major browsers and platforms; smartphone, tablet, desktop or laptop to ensure that the website we are working on has a layout which works.
